Highpoint Software Systems is pleased to announce the availability of its flagship product, the Sage Modeling and Simulation Engine, in an open source format, licensed under the GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE Version 3
Our primary business is to build useful and usable decision support (modeling or simulation) software. Toward that end, we design and build solutions for plugging into new or existing enterprise systems and applications.
We can also provide training on the Sage® library.
Properly designed and integrated into relevant applications, our work products can evolve, providing increasing value over the years.
Sage® is our third-generation object oriented simulation class library and framework. It is written in C# and is under the active development and stewardship of a software engineer with over 25 years' experience writing simulations and simulation engines, and 20 years' experience doing object-oriented architecture, design, & development.
Sage® is built on Microsoft's .Net Foundation, so you will have the full power of that framework at hand. You can build libraries, apps, services, web services, plugins, etc, and tap the vast Windows development market for components and non-simulation professional services.
...And remember, it's just code, in Visual Studio! Use your source code control system, issue tracking system, components and tools of choice, even your own development methodologies. It is a seamless and first class member of your .net development project.
The Sage® Framework is built as an open architecture library on Microsoft's capable .Net technology base. You can have full visibility into the entire depth of the framework, allowing you to seamlessly integrate it into your development process.

Esoteric tools and technologies are expensive in many ways. when you can, you should avoid them. when you can't, you should contain them.
Sage® allows you to do both.
We provide simulation modeling services in discrete, continuous and mixed-mode event simulation, mathematical modeling, and general computer simulation - either full custom or semi custom.
In addition to general simulation, we have experience with manufacturing, supply chain, business and process modeling, financial services and business analytical tool development. Through patterns and framework best practices, we can use our libraries and experience to construct (or help you construct) your decision support/simulation application, plug-in, or service.
We can provide a range of services from working remotely and delivering a turnkey solution, to coming on site and working with your team in a coworker or mentoring role.
Highpoint Software Systems, LLC is a small and attentive decision-support technology firm in the upper midwest.
We bring a broad portfolio of modeling and simulation experience in a wide range of industries and applications to the table.
Our libraries are built to meet the needs of discrete event and agent-based applications.
A thin, usually easy to build, abstraction layer is all that is needed to tailor them to an industry or application.

We can work with you to assess your needs and help you decide if Sage® would be a good fit for your needs.
Pick and choose the classes and mechanisms you need. Skip the rest.
Any integration that .Net will support, you can use. Your simulation and modeling subsystem is just another piece of your application, service, plug-in, or whatever.
Tailor algorithms and data structures to your requirements exactly, to cram every last drop of performance into your app.
Highpoint Software Systems releases new white paper on Process Manufacturing Simulation using ISA-88 Batch Control and its role in plant-floor predictability.
We are looking for investigation ideas on which to write a paper for the Winter Simulation Conference in 2017.
We will consider any interesting ideas, and provide a significantly reduced consulting rate to a prospective customer with an applicable use case.
At present, we are investigating run-time code generation and transport network implementations.
If you're an educator or researcher and are interested in Sage, we would like to hear from you.
